GLOBODOX Version 9 now makes scanning stress-free by allowing import of pre-scanned pages

We have been advancing and upgrading in a big way for the past few months to further develop your GLOBODOX experience with GLOBODOX Version 9. Today we announce that we will soon be introducing an important feature that enables import of pre-scanned pages into the Globodox Scan Window.
Most scanners in the low to mid-price range are TWAIN compatible. What this means is that they use a technology called TWAIN to pass on images of scanned documents to applications such as GLOBODOX. In the last few years scanner technology has advanced speedily but unfortunately the TWAIN standard has just not kept up with the increased capabilities of the scanners. In addition to this, the TWAIN drivers shipped by some scanner vendors have been faulty. So your scanner could have better scanning features but these cannot be utilized fully because of problems with the TWAIN driver shipped with your scanner.
The good news is that a lot of scanners can now directly store images of scanned pages on a folder on your PC. We decided to use this capability as an alternative way to fetch scanned images from a scanner into GLOBODOX. Thus we can bypass TWAIN and also enable you to use the full capabilities of your scanner.
With GLOBODOX Version 9, you can import these superior quality, pre-scanned images into the GLOBODOX Scan Window. You can be rest assured that GLOBODOX will treat these images the exact same way it treats images received directly from a scanner, ensuring all GLOBODOX functions and features such as bar coded separator page detection, combining pages into PDF files and Stack Types, Indexing, Tagging will continue to work like a charm.
