New privileges added to ‘roles’ in Globodox

In the eyes of Globodox, as you know, users are basically grouped according to the role they have been assigned. Every role has a set of privileges that can be added to it or removed from it, thus impacting the tasks that can be performed by users who have been assigned that role. In order to make your work experience richer and even more secure, we have introduced in Globodox 7 a new set of privileges that can be added to roles. These are explained below:

  • Draft Entity privilege: In an earlier post, we saw what Draft Documents are. In order to check-in a document as a draft document, your role must have been assigned the Draft Entity privilege. If your role has been assigned the draft entity privilege, you can go ahead and check-out a document, make changes to it and check it back in but as a draft document.
  • Initiate Workflow privilege: This feature allows you to control which roles can be given the privilege of routing documents for approval.
  • Workflow Designer and Workflow Monitor related privileges: Now you can control which users are allowed to view, add, modify and delete workflow designs in the workflow designer. You can also view, pause, restart or cancel running workflows.
  • Event Log related privilege: This privilege lets you control who can select/unselect which events to audit in the Event Log.

We are sure these added privileges will help you define roles more clearly and manage work more smoothly. We welcome your feedback on these new features. Do write to us at sales@itaz.com and let us know what it was like, using them.
