Sohodox is simple to use allowing you to get productive from day one. Using Sohodox you can quickly create a centralized, searchable database of all your documents. You can create Folders and Sub Folders and add your documents to it.
Sohodox has a built in scanning tool which can be used to scan single or multi-page documents and save them as TIFF or PDF (other compressions are also available). Sohodox supports all TWAIN compatible scanners including ones with ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) attachment. It also supports duplex scanning. Text from image files (like PDF) can be extracted using built-in OCR (Optical Character Recogniztion). The extracted text can be used for searching.
You can manage any type of file on your machine. Files can be added by dragging & dropping it onto Sohodox (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, PDF, JPEG files). Email messages or just attachments can be dragged & dropped from MS Outlook. Even text can be selected and dragged & dropped from a document or a web page.
Documents can be highlighted. You can also mark certain part of a document and add a Note beside it. You can insert Stamps as well as your Signature on a document.
Sohodox has a Quick Search box on its interface, which makes it easier for you to find documents quickly. You just need to enter a word from the document’s name or the document text and hit the Enter key to get the result. Sohodox also comes with an advanced search which will help you to refine the search results. You can also save your advanced searches so that you can re-use them later.
You can email or fax documents from Sohodox. This makes it easier for you to review and approve documents in your office. You can also assign documents to other Sohodox users. Sharing documents and folders with other Sohodox users is also easy all you need to do is drag and drop that document or folder to the Public folder.
Sohodox paperless office software also allows you import data from a CSV file. Using the import feature you can migrate your data from other programs to Sohodox. You can also export documents along with their data from Sohodox to a CSV, HTML, Excel or XML file. You can also burn all the documents to a CD/DVD from Sohodox.
Sohodox comes with concurrent licensing. This means that you only pay for the maximum number of users likely to be connected to Sohodox at any given time. So if you have 10 machines at your office but only 5 user is likely to be connected to Sohodox at any given time, then you only need to purchase 5 user license (you can still install Sohodox on all 10 machines).
Sohodox licenses are economically priced. Further discounts are available when you purchase multiple licenses this make the software price even lower. The price includes free Upgrade and Support for a period of one year.
Please note that Sohodox licenses are perpetual, so after expiry of the free 12 months upgrade & support period, you can continue to use the version you have for as long as you want without any additional cost.
After the free Upgrade+support period expires if you wish to receive support and upgrades then you will need to purchase Upgrade+Support license. The cost of Sohodox Upgrade+support licenses is very low compared to other document management systems.
