Yes we offer substantial discounts for multiple license purchases. The more licenses you buy the lower is the price per license.

For Sohodox current license count is not taken into account when deciding the pricing for the additional licenses.
For Globodox, you will get the benefit for the licenses bought earlier. For example, let’s assume a case where you bought ten licenses of Globodox Suite three months ago and want to purchase 5 more licenses today. Now while deciding the price per license applicable for your new order we will take into account the one license you already own. So depending on your total license count, the prices could be lower when you purchase additional licenses.

All Globodox and Sohodox customers receive free email support for a period of one year from the date of purchase. All Globodox customers also receive all major and minor Globodox upgrades released within a period of one year from the date of purchase.

FAQ – Licensing
You will receive a registration key by e-mail within 24 hours of purchase.
No, Globodox licenses are perpetual licenses and there are no monthly or yearly renewal fees. So you can continue to use the version of Globodox you have purchased for as long as you want. There is no time limit for Globodox licences.
However if you wish to upgrade to a newer version of Globodox after your free 1 year upgrade period is over, you can do so by purchasing upgrade licenses.

Globodox licenses are concurrent licenses so you need to purchase as many licenses as the total number of concurrent users expected.
A concurrent license allows you to install Globodox Enterprise Edition on as many machines(on the same local area network) as you need as long as the number of users simultaneously logged onto Globodox does not exceed the number of concurrent licenses you own.
For example, if you will be installing Globodox Enterprise Editon on 30 machines but not more than 15 users are likely to be simultaneously logged on to Globodox at any given time, then you only need to purchase 15 user licenses of Globodox.
All Globodox customers receive free email support for a period of one year from the date of purchase. All Globodox customers also receive free bug fixes and all major and minor Globodox upgrades released within a period of one year from the date of purchase.
FAQ – Globodox View Only Licenses
A view-only access license enables a user to access the contents of any Globodox DB for viewing only. A user logged in with a view-only access license cannot perform any admin actions or any other action which can cause a change to the contents of a Globodox DB.
In many usage scenarios only some users need to have the ability to scan or add documents to a Globodox DB. All other users only need to be able to find and view the scanned/added documents. In such a situation an organization can purchase full-access licenses for users who need to be able to scan and add documents and view-only access licenses for users who need to be able to find and view the scanned/added documents.
Another scenario would be when you want to give access to some documents to your customers or suppliers. You can purchase view-only access licenses for such users.
View-only access licenses are priced much lower than full access licenses. Therefore in both the above scenarios you can save by purchasing view-only access licenses for users who do not need to scan and add documents.
In general a view-only access license user can search for documents and view documents along with their indexing information.
Some common tasks that a view-only access license user cannot perform are.
- Add, modify or delete records
- Add, scan, modify or delete documents
- Save or and edit queries
- Add, modify or delete indexing fields
- Add, modify or delete users or groups.
A view-only access license user can create and run queries (but not save them), view records and documents, print records and documents.
Yes view-only licenses are available for both Globodox Suite and Globodox Standard.

Yes, the view-only license can be used to login via the desktop client or the web browser based client of Globodox.
Yes Globodox licenses (both full access and view-only access) are concurrent licenses. This means that you only need to purchase as many licenses as the maximum number of users that are likely to be simultaneously logged to Globodox at any given time. For example if you have 60 users but do not expect more than 20 users to be simultaneously logged to Globodox at any given time then you only need to purchase 20 licenses (out of these 20 licenses at least one license should be a full access license). You will still be able to define 60 users with their own user names and passwords.
The login dialog/page of Globodox displays an option labeled “Login with view-only access”. If a user selects this option at the time of logging in then Globodox logs in the user using a view-only access license.
Yes. The administrator (admin) can use Globodox to mark any user as a “view-only access user”. Globodox will then always logon this user using a view-only access license (even when the user does not select the “Login with view-only access” option on the Login dialog/page).

Globodox will check if a view-only access license is available
If a view-only access license is available then Globodox will mark that license as used and log in the user, using that view-only access license.
If a view-only access license is not available (or all available view-only access licenses have been marked as used) then Globodox will check if a full access license is available.
If a full access license is available then Globodox will temporarily convert it into a view-only access license. Globodox will then mark the license as used and log in the user, using the temporary view-only access license.
If no licenses are available then Globodox will inform the user that she cannot be logged in at the moment because the maximum allowed number of users are already logged in.
For a user to be able to perform any action both the license she has logged in with and her security permissions must allow that action.
If a user is allowed the “view document” permission for a document and the user has logged in with a view-only access user license then the user will be allowed by Globodox to view that document.
If a user is denied the “view record” permission for a record and the user has logged in with a view-only access user license then the user will not be allowed by Globodox to view the record.
If a user is allowed the “delete document” permission but the user has logged in with a view-only access user license then she will not be allowed by Globodox to delete any document.
No, the security permissions also apply. So for a user to be able to perform any action both the license she has logged in with and her security permissions must allow that action.
If a user is not allowed the “delete document” permission, then even if the user has logged in with a full access user license, she will not be allowed by Globodox to delete any document.
FAQ – Maintenance Subscription
When you order Globodox, you receive 1 year of email support as well as 1 year of upgrades to any new versions released.
If you wish to receive support and upgrades after the 1 year period, you must purchase a Globodox Maintenance Subscription.
A Globodox Maintenance Subscription entitles you to:
- One year of email support.
- One year of product upgrades of your Globodox edition from the date of activation of the subscription.
Suppose you ordered 25 licenses of Globodox on 1st January, 2011. You will then be entitled to receive support till 31st December, 2011. You will also receive upgrades to any new versions of Globodox released till 31st December, 2011. If you wish to continue to receive support and upgrades beyond the first year, all you have to do is order 25 Globodox Maintenance Subscriptions. This will entitle you to receive support and upgrades for another year, i.e. till 31st December, 2012.
Based on research and feedback from our customers, our developers come out with major and minor improvements in the Globodox software periodically. These could be in the form new features or a more technically sound performance than before. Whenever such improvements are made, a new version of Globodox is launched. You should always upgrade to the new version to get the most out of Globodox.

When you purchase a Globodox Maintenance Subscription, you will receive a registration key by email within 24 hours of placing your purchase (except for weekends and holidays). The mail will contain instructions on how to apply the registration key.
A Maintenance Subscription is valid for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase of the product, or 1 year from the date of purchasing the Maintenance Subscription. This period of 1 year is known as the Active Subscription period.
Every Maintenance Subscription is valid for 1 year.
In order to purchase Globodox Maintenance Subscriptions at the best price, you must always order them before your current Maintenance Subscriptions expire (the new subscriptions will be activated only after the previous ones expire). Globodox Maintenance Subscriptions are priced much higher if you order them after your current Maintenance Subscriptions have expired.
If you bought Globodox on 1st January, 2011, then your free 1-year maintenance subscription will expire on 31st December, 2011. To receive support and upgrade after this period, you must renew the Maintenance Subscription anytime before 31st December, 2011. Now, if you buy the Globodox Maintenance Subscription on 14th November, 2011, it will remain in the pipeline and will be activated only on 1st January, 2012. You will therefore enjoy support and upgrades for another full year from 1st January, 2012 to 31st December, 2012.

When you purchase Globodox you get free access to all major and minor upgrades and free email support – both for 1 year from the date of purchase. To continue receiving upgrades and support beyond this period, you must purchase a Maintenance Subscription for every Globodox license you own. If you decide not to purchase the Maintenance Subscription, you can continue to use the product as usual, but you will not have access to upgrades neither to customer support. In fact, in case you faced an issue requiring support from our side, one of the first things we would ask you to do would be to upgrade your version to the latest one. Often, that by itself is sufficient to resolve the issue. So it is always beneficial to keep your Globodox updated to the latest version. And you would be able to do that only if your Globodox Maintenance Subscriptions are active.
Two things will happen if you upgrade:
- If your Globodox Maintenance Subscription has expired and you renew it, you will gain immediate access to all major and minor upgrades to Globodox for a period of 1 year. You will also get email assistance for customer support issues for a period of 1 year.
- When you upgrade your Globodox installation to the latest version , you will be able to use any new features that may have been released as part of that version. If other technical improvements have been made to Globodox, those too reflect in your upgraded installation of Globodox. Overall, renewing the Maintenance Subscription will help you get the maximum value out of Globodox document management software.
When you upgrade to a higher version of Globodox, you will need to download the update setup, install it and run it. The update setup will upgrade your Globodox DB but not touch your data. This means you do not lose your data. In fact, the latest version of Globodox will actually help you manage that data even more efficiently than before!
If your Maintenance Subscription has expired, you need to purchase as many Maintenance Subscriptions as the number of Globodox licenses you currently own. Learn how to check if your Maintenance Subscription is active. If it is active, you can proceed to the next step, given below.
Once your Maintenance Subscription has been activated, you can begin upgrading to the latest version of Globodox.
