Why is the ‘Merge Document’ feature useful?
The ‘Merge Document’ feature is useful because it allows you to merge a document that has accidentally been scanned & added as two or more separate documents, or to merge multiple documents into a single big document. For example, merging individual user reports into a single team report can be easier to manage & share.
How to merge two documents into a single document in GLOBODOX?
Note: The document merge feature is only available for PDF documents. Also, to merge two documents the user must have ‘modify’ & ‘delete’ privileges. Also, the two merging documents should either be of the same document type or shouldn’t belong to any document type.
To merge two documents, select both documents, click on ‘More’ in the ribbon bar and select ‘Merge’ from the dropdown to launch the Merge Document window. Here, you can preview the added documents as well as the merged document. The Merge Document window also lets you choose which document you would like to place on top of the merged document.
Note: The title of the top document becomes the default title of the merged document, which can be renamed later.
You can also choose, what metadata from the initial documents needs to be assigned to the merged document. Once you have entered all the required details, click on ‘Merge’ to merge the documents.
