What is archiving & how does it help?
GLOBODOX lets you ‘Archive’ documents & stacks that you longer need for day-to-day work, for safekeeping. By default, GLOBODOX archives documents & stacks in the same DB they are stored in, but you can also choose to archive them in a different DB within GLOBODOX. Please note, only the documents of a document type can be archived. Once a document or stack is archived, no changes can be made to them
How to set the archive date for a document or stack in GLOBODOX?
To set the archive date, select the documents you want to set the archive date for, select an archive date from the ‘document information’ section, and click on ‘Save’.
Once the archive date is set, the documents’ ‘Status’ will be set to ‘Archived’, and they will have the security label ‘Archive DB’ attached to them, and users won’t be allowed to make any changes to their metadata.
