What are stack types & how do they help?
Stack types are a group of related documents that share the same indexing information. You can stack together documents related to a particular client, project, month, etc, to index & find them more easily. For example: If you create a stack called ‘client’, you will be able to create a separate stack of documents for every client. You can then categorise your stacks based on metadata like ‘client name, ‘address’, ‘contact number’, ‘email ID’, etc, and you can also link documents related to each client with their respective stack, like ‘invoices’, ‘purchase history’, ‘emails’, ‘ID documents’, etc, for easier retrieval.
How to restrict users from viewing a stack type?
To restrict any user from viewing a stack type, you will first need to login as the Superadmin. Once logged in, go to ‘Roles’ under ‘System Settings’ & select the role assigned to the user you want to restrict. Inside the role, go to ‘Core Privileges’, click on the ‘Choose Entity’ drop down & select the stack type you want to restrict the user from viewing. To remove the privileges currently assigned to the user, scroll to the right & select ‘None’ & click on ‘Save & close’. The user will no longer be able to view or access the restricted stack type.
