How to Search & Navigate Through Documents Using Tags?

What are tags & how do they help?

Tags are additional metadata that you can add to your documents, to differentiate documents from one another, and to find them faster when required. Let’s say you received an invoice for an advance payment, made to a client named XYZ, for the month of January. The tags for such an invoice would be ‘XYZ’, ‘January’ & ‘advance’. Once the tags are added, you can simply input the tags in GLOBODOX’s search bar, and all the documents containing those tags will be displayed in the results.

How to search & navigate using tags?

The easiest way to find documents using tags is by selecting tags in the search option (drop down arrow above the list preview panel), and typing your tag. You can also search using multiple tags to narrow down your search results further. GLOBODOX also gives you the option of saving your search using the ‘save as’ feature. Another way you can use tags to search for documents is by using the ‘Jump to’ feature. Simply press ‘Ctrl + J’ to open the ‘Jump to’ dialog box, and input your tag to find all documents added to that tag.
