What are Zone Maps & how do they help?

Zone Maps allow you to automatically extract text from certain locations on your documents, and store them in their respective indexing fields. Zone Maps are very helpful for indexing documents with a similar design or structure, like invoices, agreements, purchase orders, etc.

Let’s say you want to automatically index all the invoices you receive from a particular client. Since invoices from the same client will have information such as client name, invoice number & total at the same location, you can mark the locations containing this information as zones, and ask GLOBODOX to automatically extract information from the selected locations or zones, and add them to the invoice’s indexing fields. Thus eliminating the need for manual indexing.
